Steve Stokey Named Chairman, New Board members -  Mike Lauber, Jarod Lawver, Marc Nolen, and Larry Troyer.

The Tuscarawas County Economic Development Economic Development Corporation (TCEDC) is wrapping up 2022. The holidays are just days away, and with the close of the year, we wanted to give the public a look at our Annual Report. This presentation was recently given to key community stakeholders after we unveiled the first draft of our new strategic plan. But before we get into the annual report and strategic plan, we have some announcements to make!

First up, we want to thank Steve Stokey, Vice President and Principal at Allied Machine and Engineering for stepping up to replace Mike Hovan as our new Chairman. Though we’re happy to say, Mr. Hovan — a key member of our team — will remain on our board of directors. We’re also excited to announce that Mike Lauber, Chief Executive Officer at Tusco Display and Manufacturing has taken a seat as an Executive Committee on our board. We have also added Jarod Lawver, Marc Nolen, and Larry Troyer as new members of the board. With consistent leadership and a new vision, the TCEDC is positioned to make an impact in 2023!

We want to take this moment to say thank you to all of our board members, who dedicate their expertise to the advancement of Tuscarawas County. We are fortunate to have an extremely talented group of people who volunteer their time to grow the economic development of our region. Thank you to all of our board members!

Strategic Plans - Call to action

We recently unveiled the first draft of our strategic plans for the Tuscarawas County Economic Development Corporation (TCEDC) presented by Economic Development Consultants Mark Barbash, and Anthony Jones. This process gathered feedback from leaders in business, education, government, and non-profits. We wanted to know what they feel our biggest challenges are, and form a plan to address them. On December 15th, at the First Federal Community Bank - Dover Financial Education Center, the results of this feedback was presented to the community for the first time. The next step is to refine the goals of the strategic plan and empower the community to drive our growth into the future. In order for us to tackle the all challenges ahead of us, we need the community to help!
