Spooktacular Economic Development in Tuscarawas County!

Message From the Staff

Dear Friends and Stakeholders,

We hope this newsletter finds you in good spirits as we embrace the autumn season and prepare for Halloween. As the trees change colors and the air turns chilly, we have some exciting updates and events to share with you from the Tuscarawas County Economic Development Corporation (TCEDC). Don't ghost us; the best is yet to come!

A Howling Success: TCEDC's Year in Review

As we approach the end of another year, it's time to reflect on our community's achievements. Despite the past year's challenges, Tuscarawas County has continued to thrive. Our local businesses have shown resilience, and our community's spirit remains unbroken. We have seen regional and national awards, incredible networking, new investments, and the creation of jobs over this past year. Our annual report in December will provide a detailed look at the community's accomplishments. Hold onto your broomsticks; we've got more ahead!

Building Booming Businesses

Tuscarawas County is a hotbed for entrepreneurial success. Our team has been working on state and federal grant work to support local businesses in facing their toughest challenges head-on. This work parallels giving citizens of Tuscarawas County more opportunities to grow individually. From securing funding to expanding awareness and exposure to opportunities, we're dedicated to helping our businesses and our economy grow. Recently, we announced a $50,000 award secured for a “Recovery-to-Work Project.” We are currently working with Stark-Tuscarawas Ohio Means Jobs on a youth campaign to grow awareness of local industrial and technological opportunities. These are just a few examples of our efforts to develop our local talent for the workforce. Don't vanish into thin air. We've got more in store!

Ward off the Web Goblins

A Cybersecurity Workshop is right around the corner. Join us for a special conference this Friday, October 6th, at the First Federal Education Center in Dover. It's a fantastic opportunity to learn from local experts in cybersecurity and network with local community and business leaders. Are you brave enough to put on your hacker costume and attend? If you’re not a local manufacturer, you can register here. If you are, please wait until December 1st, when we will do this again specifically for local industry.
