Governor’s Proclamation Following Tuscarawas County Recognition as a Top 100 Micropolitan Area by Site Selection Magazine
Tuscarawas County, [5/23/2023] – In a remarkable achievement, Tuscarawas County has been honored to be named one of the Top 100 Micropolitan Areas in the nation by Site Selection Magazine. This recognition highlights Tuscarawas County's exceptional economic development efforts, demonstrating its commitment to fostering growth and prosperity within the region.
Site Selection Magazine, renowned for its comprehensive economic development analysis, meticulously evaluated various factors to determine the most promising micropolitan areas across the United States. Tuscarawas County's outstanding performance and dedication to advancing economic opportunities secured its place among the elite ranks.
The offices of Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted have prepared a proclamation that will be delivered by Scott Ryan of the Ohio Department of Development. This and a roundtable discussion by community leaders will be held at First Federal Community Bank, 141 W. Ohio Avenue, Dover, OH 44622, Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.
Senator Sherrod Brown will also be in Tuscarawas County for an unrelated event. He will be in New Philadelphia at the VFW for a PACT Act Roundtable with veterans from 12:45 pm to 2:00 pm.
